Why does HebDate request access to contacts, files, and device information?

Contacts & Email: HebDate lets you create calendar events, send invitations, and invite friends. When an app is granted permission to add calendar events, Google automatically displays a warning that it could also send emails from your account. However, HebDate itself does not have access to your email account or messages—it only uses the standard calendar event system.

Files (SD Card access): HebDate includes a backup feature so you can save your settings to your SD card. For this reason, it needs permission to read from and write to files.

Device Information: Certain device identifiers are requested only to ensure proper functionality across different devices and operating systems.

Note: Some of these features may not be available on the BlackBerry version.

How do I delete or edit an event?

To delete or update an existing event:
1. Go to the day view page and tap on the event.
2. Click the edit or trash icon on the top right corner of the page.

How can I transfer events from one phone to another?

Option 1 — Google Account (recommended)
1) On both phones, open HebDate.
2) Go to Menu → Settings → Accounts and select the same Google Account on both phones.
3) Events will sync automatically and appear in each phone’s HebDate calendar.

Option 2 — SD card (manual transfer)
On the old phone:
1) Open HebDate → Menu → Settings → Tools → Backup events to SD card.
On the new phone:
2) Insert the same SD card, open HebDate → Menu → Settings → Tools → Restore events from SD card.

How do I transfer premium from one phone to another?

Your premium subscription was purchased through your Google account. Make sure that both phones are signed in and synced with the same Google account. When you switch phones, your premium subscription should automatically transfer to HebDate on your new device.

How can I change the language in the app?

The app’s language is set automatically based on your phone’s default language.
To change it, update your device’s default language in the system settings, then restart your device.
If the language does not update, remove any other languages from your list of preferred languages, and restart your device again.
Note: HebDate on Android is currently available in Hebrew, English, French, and Spanish.

How can I sync HebDate with Google?

In the HebDate app Go to the Menu > Settings > Accounts > check off the Google account you would like to sync HebDate with.

Is there a way to sync HebDate with Outlook?

HebDate does not have the ability to sync directly with Outlook. You can sync HebDate with your Google calendar and then sync your Google calendar with Outlook. After doing so the events on your HebDate should show up on Outlook.
